was there even one mention of bin laden?
Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 10:32 PM by homerthompson
hmm? i had step away for a few minutes here and there during the shrub's recital.

i did catch this one though: he talked about saddam's a bad man, and then the next sentence was about 9/11, then the sentence right after that was about fighting terrorism.

so there he goes again, implying saddam was involved with 9/11.

but anyways, did the shrub mention bin laden? i heard most of the speech, and he didn't even go near the subject of the perpetators of 9/11

9. Not relevant anymore !!!!

BEFORE:
Wanted Dead Or Alive.
We'll hunt him down and bring him to justice

NOW:
He's not important in the war on terrorism.

Seriously, I NEVER thought that Bin Laden was the end all be all of our response to 9/11. I though that placing such a high value on his head would deflate the effort if we caught him before we dismantled enough terrorist cells (which operate independently) to make a difference. The public would forget.

Well, Bush did pull a great one. We just keep making up new enemies. Now it's Iran (since N Korea has a Nuke). Zachariis Moussaui has been ressurected to take the place of Bin Laden.

Oh, and didn't you know, the people of Iraq and Afghanistan are "free". Just like the people of South Vietnam were "free".

BEFORE:

We shouldn't be in the business of nation building.

NOW:

American forces have a positve part to play in the world. We need to spread freedom across the world.

The Dubaya Fish is flipping and flopping like never before. He's flipping trying to flop his way back into public support with lies and deceptions.

Kerry SERIOUSLY needs to start running ads attacking the language of GW Bush. All they need do is use his own words.

11. Ummm No!

It was all about that bad guy Saddam who had nothing do with 911 but was rumored that he put out a hit on his daddy. Now what would be more important to Smirk of the Bush Mafia? The deaths of 3000 Americans and the gut wrenching pain that caused in their families as he sat on his ass in a Florida Kindergarten Class or a Dictator that supposedly tried to kill his pappy.

This, hopefully won't be lost on voters this fall. In fact NOT ONE convention speaker brought up the name Osama bin Laden....UNBELIVABLE.

12. Exactly. If they're too frightened to even mention the guy's name...
Edited on Fri Sep-03-04 01:15 AM by krkaufman
... how can we expect them to catch him?

I've only quickly scanned Bush's speech transcript (searching the text for "Osama" or any variation), and did a double-take when I saw the following line:

... al-Qaida was largely unchallenged as it planned attacks.

Thanks for the news flash, Dumbass! We're all already painfully aware that you ignored all advice and warnings on bin Laden and Al Qaeda for your first 8 months in office. It's awfully nice of you to confess to your mistake, though -- 3 years later.

13. Pataki said his name once
He surely will be scolded. The pukes don't want people to remember how they completely forgot about him.
