re:
Ok, so McCain camp realizes they need to prioritize and get out of Michigan, OK, gotta do what you gotta do -but why announce it? Why not do it very quietly?
What do you possibly gain by making such an announcement except the ire of Michigan Republicans? duh!
Ok, so McCain realizes it's time to start fighting dirty or lose.
We find it despicable as Dem's, but he's really got no other choice.
So his handlers get the great idea to ambush Obama at the debate with "associations."
Strategically, I think this is the best move he could pull, probably the one way in which he can illicit a gaffe from Obama and get back into the game.
The problem is this: His dipshit campaign announces it, basically giving Obama a heads up so that when the moment actually comes at the debate, Obama will be prepped and practiced and will have one helluva a zinger ready and waiting to fire back.
It's like these guys are so badly outplayed and conscious of it, that every time they get a good idea, they have to run around and pat themselves on the back in front of everyone instead of sitting on the idea until it would have it's maximum effect and pouncing.
what a bunch of maroons!
