This is one HELL of an election year! Have you ever experienced anything like this?

I went to a Women for Obama meetup (there were some men there too) this afternoon and the energy was so intense! Talk about pumped up and ready to go! I live in Texas, which is--well, you know--and the talk at the meeting was that we have several district seats that look like they may be filled with Democrats. We had one of our Texas Democratic Congressmen at the meetup and he said Texas Congress had almost enough Democrats to make the majority and after this election it looks like they may make it. Wow--this is in Texas, no less:bounce:


The ground game is unbelievable! I have volunteered for several things, among those being my favorite--driving seniors to the polls on Nov 4! :D It's so exciting to see people motivated for the change we need.

However, I have to say, Palin's name was thrown around some and the reaction seems to be the same--:eyes: We tried not to talk too much about her since it only bogged the conversation.(but a few us did speak afterwards about the winking;););)

Our leader mentioned that since we have 30 days left, the repubs will throw everything at us (yeah, we knew it was coming) so get ready and don't let it get you discouraged. She said the Obama camp is ready for this and know the plan of counter-attack:bounce:
After reading tonight about the go ahead to throw Keating 5 out there, I see she's definitely right.

These are nail-biting, but exciting times. We have to keep working like we are 20 points behind. The only poll that matters is the one on Nov 4.
