What about a REVERSE Bradley effect?

The Bradley effect is that people say their voting for the black candidate to appear not racist, but as soon as their in the voting booth, vote for the white candidate.

So what about a REVERSE Bradley effect? People in conservative states or conservative areas of PA, OH, IN, MO, VA that say their voting for the white candidate (McCain) to appear to their friends that they're not voting for the black guy, but as soon as they're alone, pull the lever for Obama.

I think it's very conceivable, Obama is a promising candidate and I'm sure he appeals to a lot of people who aren't willing to admit they are voting for a black man.

6. I got an email from a guy I know to the effect that another guy I

know would never vote for Obama although this guy was going to. It turns out they are both Obama backers but have never told each other. They golf and play cards, but don't talk politics. So, due to my emails, the one is going to tell the other his position when they go golfing tomorrow. This is in an area I used to live in in Wisconsin where bigotry is just sort of assumed.

7. Agreed, that occurred to me last week. I know people just like that around here.

They wouldn't be caught dead supporting Obama around the tailgate with their good buddies.

In one on one conversations though, the think McCain has lost his mind.
