Protest over anti-Obama sign at Hendersonville, NC real estate office

My sister sent me these photos today. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned on DU, or received any press.

If we want to make life miserable for this guy, the person responsible for the sign, his name is James M. Edney of Land of the Sky Realty in Hendersonville, NC. That's in western North Carolina, not too from from the comparative liberal stronghold of Asheville, where Obama visited on Sunday. It might be an indication of the uphill fight in North Carolina, no matter what the polls look like:

a right. (Pay attention, Sarah Palin. Things in amendments are rights, not privileges........)

Now, realtors must obey the federal non-discrimination housing rules. Therefore, I would encourage any person interested in moving into this little slice of heaven to directly contact this realtor for an appointment.

After all, I am sure...oh, so sure, that any person, of any color, creed, or national origin would be treated respectfully and fairly. And I would record that fair and respectful treatment on my cell phone.

And then I would make sure that the State Attorney General, and the State Realtor Licensing Board saw that fair and respectful treatment.

Really, it's just a thought......

141. My sister has had some trouble

I know she wrote a letter to the editor to the local paper ripping Fox News about a year ago, and after it was published she started receiving condemning phone calls, plus a follow up letter was published ripping my sister's viewpoint.

Whenever I visit her, the area seems very red.

At least her district elected a Democrat last time, albeit not exactly a liberal, in Heath Shuler.

137. I mentioned Tiger Woods to my sister in TN once & told her that he had a foundation

and thought their community might like to check in on it and she told me that they "don't talk about black people there". She lives in rural TN between Knoxville and Nashville. She was born in Ohio like I was and doesn't hold the same feelings but I wouldn't want to live in a place like that! She said there was one black family in the entire town and that must be hard on them! These people are so far behind the times it is sickening!
