New poll shows Obama, McCain even in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A new statewide poll shows Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain running even in Indiana with less than a month to go before the Nov. 4 election.

The WISH-TV Indiana poll released Monday night found Obama and McCain each supported by 46 percent of likely voters. Five percent were undecided and 3 percent said they favored another candidate.

The poll’s margin of error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

The poll was a telephone survey of 800 likely voters conducted Sept. 29-Oct. 3 by Maryland-based Research 2000 ...
