This is how Barack should open the debate tonight
"I would like to thank the Commission, the City of Nashville and its great mayor for hosting this event tonight. I only have one question. What the hell have you done with the Real John McCain? The Real John McCain had more honor than what your campaign has become. The real John McCain promised a campaign on the issues: Issues these voters want to hear from both of us on. John you need to stop listening to your advisors and run the campaign you promised the American people. We will all be the better for it."

1. How about "Well doggone it, what happened to John McCain?"
and then he adds in a perky wink, for good measure.

4. You are seeing the real John McCain.
Honorable? Principled? Yea, right! These are just masks he puts on when needed. After reading the Rolling Stone article on McCain its obvious that honorable and principled are not qualities inherent in McCain's character.

5. Unfortunately Perception trumps Reality in politics,
Calling some one ont for being intellectually dishonestm is likely more powerful than saying he has always been dishonest... strange but true
