5. If these numbers hold fairly steady over the next month then it's going to be a blowout
I don't expect them to hold steady, though; I think that some states will see some more fluid movement in the polls with a possible shift back to McCain in a few battlegrounds.

The debate tonight will determine a lot of the polling and public opinion over the next few days; if Obama stays cool, calm, measured, and Presidential, and hits his economic points hard, he'll win the debate in a walk. McCain himself has said 'my friends, I don't know much about the economy', and one of the big and obvious reasons his campaign is going hard negative rather than offering any proposals or solutions for the present economic difficultues is that he HAS no proposals, he HAS no solutions, he HAS no ideas; extending and increasing the Bush tax cuts (which largely benefit the wealthiest 5% of Americans) and further deregulation (which is part of what's caused the mortgage, credit, and banking crises) aren't sound economic ideas in the present situation, but they're all Johnny Maverick has.
