65 or over and voting McCain?

Because you fear dreaded "socialism" under Obama?

Then give up your Medicare now you hypocrites.
And all your reduced meals via government.
And stop Social Security payments.

And how about you military retirees?
Why not give up your government paid health care also?

just sayin' for the "lurkers"

1. I think that demographic is bullshit. I'm 61, and I never voted
for a republican in my life, and have no fucking plans to start now.

This "older voters are all republicans" is either wishfull thinking or an outright lie - by the republicans.

3. The older voter that votes for McCain is ether rich, bigoted or
senile.
The ones that had to work all their life for Social Security don't buy that socialist label crap.

4. It's not a lie where I live.
I mean, come on, that logic is a little weak.

2. I sent a short blurb about the Medicare cuts to a few retirees I know. The response was basically
"OMG! That's all I need." We have at least one more Obama vote. If you can get it to retirees who have email it will spread like wildfire. This is all I sent.

I find this a bit alarming.

McCain Plans Federal Health Cuts
Medicare, Medicaid Spending Would Be Reduced to Offset Proposed Tax Credit

John McCain would pay for his health plan with major reductions to Medicare and Medicaid, a top aide said, in a move that independent analysts estimate could result in cuts of $1.3 trillion over 10 years to the government programs.

The Republican presidential nominee has said little about the proposed cuts, but they are needed to keep his health-care plan "budget neutral," as he has promised. The McCain campaign hasn't given a specific figure for the cuts, but didn't dispute the analysts' estimate.

In the months since Sen. McCain introduced his health plan, statements made by his campaign have implied that the new tax credits he is proposing to help Americans buy health insurance would be paid for with other tax increases.
But Douglas Holtz-Eakin, Sen. McCain's senior policy adviser, said Sunday that the campaign has always planned to fund the tax credits, in part, with savings from Medicare and Medicaid. Those government health-care programs serve seniors, poor families and the disabled.

5. You think Union Seniors are voting for McCorpse?
You are out of your mind. Age does not convert people to the other side.
And what are these 'reduced meals via government' that you so Rushly speak of? Perhaps a program for those in poverty? I've never heard of such a thing.
Government paid health care?!?! Do you know that Seniors pay for Medicare, and supplimental insurance, and that Medicare has deductables and co-pays, the drug program is another charge, and each medicine is also paid for. So yeah, it is free, except for the hundreds of dollars a month is costs.
Paying premiums, deductables, co-pays. Sounds like most folk's health insurance to me.

So, Mr Generation Gap, specifics please. Tell me about these reduced meals and free health care, I know dozens of Seniors that would love to get such benefits!
Oh. And Seniors and disabled people pay income taxes as well. Yes indeed. For most, even Social Security is taxed to some extent.

No Senior should vote for McCain, but this sort of drivvel on our side might lead them to do so. This is rather baity, and not at all accurate. Free health care and government sponsored 'reduced meals'? Tell us abou those things, as you understand them, specifically and in detail.

6. Oh. One more thing.
John McCain himself gets Social Security benefits. Take it to John himself. He's the hypocrite. Free health care! What a crock of steaming prejudice your posting is.
A badly contructed argument can be more harmful than no argument at all.
