I really hate to continue discussing Palin when her 15 minutes are up and we need to focus hard on McCain, but the CBS poll reflects some very interesting internals:



Apparently, women really don't think too much of Palin.

Is the PUMA an endangered species? Or was it always a mythical beast?

1. I'm just throwing this out off the top of my head

Women don't like Palin because she thinks it's OK to flirt and wink your way into high office

She seems incapable of thinking for herself

Although I cannot say for sure, she doesn't seem to have warm relationships with her family (never talks about them in speeches). Many women I know feel she treats Trig as a prop.

More than anything, women are disgusted with Palin's stand on reproductive issues -- it certainly seems as though she believes in punishing women for their carelessness and their being victims of violent crimes or incest

2. I would venture to guess that most women do not like her

because she is just plain dumb. Too dumb to recognize that she is not qualified for the office of VP and in her attempt to cover that inadequacy, she flirts, winks and generally makes herself out to be a wealth of knowledge. Her pretend knowledge comes out of her mouth as mumbo-jumbo. The aw-shucks attitude is pandering to those to whom she is a successful, pretty, intelligent Governor. Heck, her state population isn't much larger than my small New England town. I bet our Board of Selectman has more experience than she does.

As a generalization, I'd bet women can immediately spot a phony, air-headed person quicker than a man. Most of the women to whom I have spoken say about the same thing. No brain but dresses well. The only thing we like about her is her suits. One needs a little more than 3" heels to run the country.

3. Undoubtedly, Palin is dumb, but why would women rebel against her dumbness more than men? I wonder

some of the independent women who don't like Palin are revolting against the tokenism or if they are put off by her extremist views on woman's rights.
