4. Wow he is DOWN TO THE BASE

scientific polling.

6. I don't expect any convention to make a bounce when everyone's mind
is already made up and we're as polarized as we are.

16. The problem is...
With things as close as they are even a few changed minds can make a big difference. While the overall numbers didn't change much after Kerry spoke he got a bounce of a couple of points in places like OH and FL. Since things have drifted back to pairity a similar outcome for Bush (which I'd expect to see considering that his speech was fairly well written and he delivered it better than I'd have expected) could be a big problem for us.

19. His speech was flat and full of blatant prevarication.
He's done. Mission accomplished. Johnny K will now proceed to kick his lying, cowardly, traitorous ass.

24. Just because you and I know that Bush is a liar...
Dosen't mean that the swing voters who will decide the election know he's a liar. What you and I automatically know to be rank nonsense undecideds may actually buy, especially if he delivers the speech reasonably well.

We've underestimated Bush for 4 years and it's gotten us into a heap of trouble. I'm only glad to see that Kerry's starting to go on the offensive.

7. Online poll, is it not?
I wouldn't start having a fit about it. The real polling will take a couple of days at least.

10. It's Online
God it pisses me off that so many people here seem to think online polls mean something.
If I see "DU this poll" one more time I'm gonna puke.
Don't waste your time, they mean nothing.
(If they really make you FEEL good, go ahead).

8. On-line poll...
Inherently unreliable. Can be freeped or de-freeped at will, and most of the time only reflects the opinions of the self-selected handful who visit the page.

Now, if it had been an actual poll by a group like Zogsby, Gallup, etc., that would be a different matter.

14. just more evidence that THE PEOPLE GET IT
Just like all the huge crowds Kerry gets, just like all the Protestors at the RNC, just like these online polls they try to hide - THE PEOPLE GET IT. The people are for Kerry and IT DOESNT MATTTER WHAT THE MEDIA OR RETHUGS SAY.

The people are for Kerry and thats all that counts on Nov 2.

17. All that counts is the way they count the votes

I met an African American lady that told me that she had been a registered Democrat all of her life.

A few weeks ago, she was shocked to finc out that her registration had been changed to REPUBLICAN! She found out completely by accident.

She is going through a complete investigation. She has already involved a lawyer and the FBI.

This is in California! They are planning to steal this election folks, mark my words.

I just voted (11:07 am EST) and it's

Yes 47% 73375
No 53% 82451

Guess the Bushies are waking up.

Still, I doubt it will swing too far in the other direction. And, as soon as the next big story hits, they'll replace it with a new poll about something else.
