That place will go 70-30 for McCain. They don't even count Dem votes there. What's the story with this?
Very fucking curious.

2. She goes where the crowds are.....
They are still lying about how many people she attracts. They have to set things up way ahead of time in order to gather a large enough crowd to get impressive pictures. Thus far, she's not having the best of luck.

They are using her to energize those who will be voting for McCain anyways....most likely.

4. I heard some pundit today talking about this, they are sending
Palin only to 'safe' locations, where there is heavy turnout of their lunatic base who love her. They are worried that Palin turns off Independents and moderate Democrats, so they are only letting her speak to the hardcore fans.

5. Those are the only places where her bullshit lies will fly
Like Debbie Wasserman-Schultz commented on Rachel Maddow last night, they're only sending Palin to Republican strongholds in FL.

Where is the strategy in pandering to your rabid base without trying hard to win over the undecideds? I don't like the answers I'm coming up with.

10. This is good news - look where they are both speaking
They are trying to shore up support in states that went solidly for Bush last time. The only states left for them to work on are republican states! I say keep her in the most republican parts of Florida - she's a net drag on the ticket so the more she talks the further behind their ticket falls.

11. I understand the repugs wanting to keep her in safe venues
but how do you explain her extended stay in Philadelphia? She wouldn't stand a snowball's chance of converting the bellhop at her hotel - even if she threw some MILFy leg his direction.

12. Now just hold on to yer britches, folks.
Jacksonville may have been mostly republican in the past, but just look at how many 10's of thousands NE Floridians came out to see Obama last month. You betcha... the event attendance was staggering considering what one might have expected from these six-pack joes. Don't sell us short down here, we might just pull this thing out for Barack. We're working hard and making great progress, ya know. I'm seeing fewer and fewer pitbulls wearing lipstick at the local WalMarts. That has to be a good sign.

16. I'm glad you're trying to change the scene in Jax.....I lived there for 6..
..god-awful years.
I just couldn't take the Rednecks and the Hicks.

The populace votes for Repugs no matter how dumb the candidate seems to be.

I remember when Tilly Fowler won in a landslide...that's the day I made up my mind to get the hell out of there.

Does the 1st Baptist Church still run the place ?? :)

13. because the speech will be televised
They want big and happy crowds and they want her to say certain things for the base. It makes total sense. It was like a campaign ad.

17. They were originally going to have her in Madison Square Garden
But when people found out they were going to be asked to make
a contribution of $1 or more, and only four (including the janitor)
said they would attend, they figured they should look for some
more friendly territory.
