Do you think there will ever be any debate questions about urban America or the poor?
Or will we have to hear questions about "Joe Six-Pack" and "Hockey Mom" over and over. When will the moderators ever ask questions about the poor, minorities, and urban America issues (crime, education, infrastructure, etc.)

I would love to hear what McCain and Palin have to say about that.

They wouldn't understand anyway, so why bother.

7. I imagine there could be
Obama's ducking the urban poor is a talking point. I hear senator Obama talk a lot about the middle class , but never about the urban poor. Why have you abandon the urban poor senator Obama?

Rethug talking points take less than 30 seconds to think up.

9. My guess? Not about the poor, or the state of the inner cities, or minorities
Edited on Tue Oct-07-08 06:33 PM by kenzee13
Maybe education, if they are on for domestic issues.

No one ever talks about the poor. Or what we've done to the inner cities, or the utter destruction of our communities of color.

It is in the interests of our Corporate Masters that everyone thinks they are "middle-class" because then they can convince everyone that policies that benefit the "middle-class" - homeownership help, 401Ks, IRAs, etc., benefit everyone. Of course, those instruements benefit our Corporate Masters even more than they do the "middle class" but, (equally of course) they help the poor not at all, and are of very little use to our minorities who, due to institutional racism and the oppressions of the "drug war," are disproportionally poor, in prison, etc.

I would be happy to be surprised tonight, but I doubt the occasion will occur.

edit for typos

10. Tom Brokejaw is the moderator so I suspect
he will pick questions that will be favorable to McCain. Like what's your relationship with Ayers and Rev Wright.
