Let's Remind Americans Now About Bush's 9/11 Response: Go Shopping

Remember when Americans everywhere were looking for something to do with all their bottled up feelings and sense of patriotism (in the good sense, not jingoism) besides giving money to 9/11 funds?

What did Bush with his bullhorn tell Americans to do?

"Get on the airlines, get about the business of America."

That was the best he could come up with: head to the mall.

Alot of Americans were frustrated by the lack of direction the President gave to their goodwill. I think it is high time to remind Americans of this frustration and the various programs that Kerry has proposed to do with this sense of civic duty and goodwill.

If the media wants to talk about Bush's response to 9/11, I say let's talk about what actually happened, not what we remember about it from the little flags in the corner of every newsprogram and the suspension of all criticism.
