Painting the Electoral College map blue
Source: Yahoo News

Tue Oct 7 - Twenty-eight days to go and the most recent polls show Sen. Barack Obama continues to widen his lead against Sen. John McCain.

The Electoral College map that used to be a wash of red (with a few exceptions like the West Coast and the Northeast) is starting to look like the Smurfs are progressively marching across the country. (In other words, the map is turning a Democratic blue.)

The latest NBC/WSJ poll has Obama up six points with registered voters, 49%-43%. Just two weeks ago, that lead was within the margin of error at 2 points.

A CNN-Opinion Research Corp. poll has Obama even higher, with an 8-point lead (53%-45%). That's double the 4-point lead Obama held in their poll taken last month. . . .

8. I think that's the best case scenario map
It would be amazing to see it. I'm not expecting IN to crossover and I'm doubtful of MO and NC as well, but he has a great shot at all three. I really do want to see Obama take two southern states (as it is I'm thinking he will carry VA). MO will be tough, but McCaskill won it. Obama won the primary there in a tight race as well.

The voter registration drive has gone very well. Now the crucial step is making sure those people can A) get to the polls and B) have their vote count!

4. Open the map and click on states that Obama has picked up
For each state there is a graph and you can really see the Palin bubble bursting. Florida, Ohio and Virginia are good examples of Gov. Moosebreath's short shelf life.

7. It's a great thing
but it worries me.

This is like cornering a rabid rat and giving him no way out except to go through YOU.

The Reich is capable of ANYTHING.

This make them even MORE dangerous
