Every bounce Bush has ever gotten has been fleeting...
9/11 (90% approval): Biggest bounce in the history of polling, gone within a little over a year...

Invasion of Iraq (70% approval): Gone in roughly 6 months...

Capture of Saddam (60% approval): Gone in a fleeting 3 months...

GOP Convention (50% approval): 1 month at the most???

What one can deduce from these numbers is that the magnitude and length of bounce have both dropped dramatically over time...

Once the luster is off after the GOP hoopla dies down, where can Bush get another bounce?

Loss of jobs in his 4 years?

978 dead US soldiers in Iraq?

Poverty and loss of healthcare on the rise?

2. If Kerry keeps up what he started this morning the bounce will be gone
and then some in 1 week. Actually I believe the true bounce can't be known for about a week after the last night so that is next Thursday - and I predict there will actually be no bounce for RNC convention week. Bush can thank Patty Peale and Zell Miller for that.

4. yep
i keep hearing the talking heads
say he's in great shape if the economy picks up...well it hasn't really picked up in 3 years.
also hear the line that if iraq turns around it will be huge plus, except it isn't turning around.

the dems need to beat him with his own message.

after watching the wrap-up last night, i kept hearing how much more moderate this speech was and how it laid out his plan for a second term....it's funny but it sounded like the same shit he promised four years ago...and still hasn't delivered on.
