Got some brief talking points for hammering into hard heads?
Some simple points to be hammered over and over by us, our people, and our campaign?

Let's tell the truth to the American people: Iraq is a mess.

Attacks on our troops have risen since the "hand-over."

We've lost a thousand young Americans in Iraq -- how many more?

How long will our troops be in Iraq?

Why is your tax money being spent on schools and hospitals in Iraq, when it could be spent for better schools and health care here?

Into whose pockets are the billions of dollars taxpayers are paying for Iraq's reconstruction going?

First President since Hoover (fill in the blank).

We need not only more jobs, but BETTER jobs.

Let's look at the national debt today, and let's look at the surplus when George Bush took office. Where has that money gone? George Bush is running this country into the ground.

Bush has spent the Social Security money Americans now close to retirement paid for, and deserve.

Bush has spent (fill in the blank) per cent of his time in office on vacation. What would happen to your job if you took that much time off? The Presidency is a full-time job.

1. Read his lips: No new ideas.
That's what I got otu of last night's speech. Tax relief is that bastard's answer to everything. What happens if we're faced with a problem that can't be solved by tax relief? Well, we're fucked, because that's his entire domestic agenda.

Oh, wait, that's right...that's what's been happening for the past four years!

Sigh,

The Plaid Adder

3. Might have been easier to listen to if that was all he said.
No new ideas.

How does he plan to pay for anything when he cuts taxes?

6. Yeah -- We've got bills as a country...how's he going to pay them...
if he keeps lowering taxes for the richest Americans? He's said they'll find a way to get out of paying taxes anyway, but let's at least make it hard for them. They should pay their fair share -- you do!

5. Cheerleader idea is great --
Bush was a cheerleader -- he's a good one -- but a President needs to be in the game. Who's really in charge in the Bush White House?

7. check out m blog for more details, but
the big one: Bush will raise your taxes.

Not kidding. Bush flip-flopped in the middle of his speech- first saying he'd make "tax relief" permanent and then saying he'd "reform the tax code" to make it business friendly.

He said it- check his speech.

What the above really means, like Reagan's famous tax cuts- is that our taxes will go up, up, up to pay for the huge deficits. My taxes went way up under Reagan- between Social Security, Medicare, and Gramm-Rudman's removal of deductions, I paid through the nose. Anybody who'd trust a Republican to keep your taxes low is on drugs or a billionaire.

Remember he never said how he'd balance the budget.

Watch your wallet - a Republican wants to "lower" your taxes!

9. thatis where i am going. i am going to support of troop
i lost a friend and hurt her feelings a week ago and have been feeling bad, and this morning woke to, you dont lose a friend over this, not the big deal in the scheme of things. wasnt seconds before i said to self, lives are being lost. it is a big deal.

i am merely going to go after, i support the troop, and if you dont vote for kerry you are not. you are allowing them to die. and if you havent done the research, know what is happening in the world, are not informed, then shame on you, because the troops at least deserve us to put into time to see who is going to best save their lives

shame on you

15. Sorry, but it's an uphill battle.
We are at the calculus level, and these people aren't ready for algebra.

I've also been looking for talking points. The more I look the deeper it gets. It's a virtual Niagara Falls of scandals and faulty logic.

If I may put it in black and white terms- it's easy to burn a house down, and not so easy to build it back up. All of their talking points were tilted toward greed and ease. Ours are going to be a bit more difficult to chew on. But better for them. Kind of like donuts for breakfast versus something that takes some thinking to prepare, but is better for you.

It's no different than the desire to kick someone in the butt when they are mean to you. But that's just doing what they did. Rising above is always harder. But better.

We're in a fix. I blame our easy easy easy lifestyle. The car. Thanks to that piece of shit, everyone is a powerful king. We've slid into a world of laziness. We don't even think for ourselves.

So I'm affraid this is not going to happen quickly. And I don't think it's going to happen at all, without a crisis.

I guess my only talking point is- wake up before it's too late. As it stands, it looks like it's too late. Would you envy your grandchildren's lives? I doubt it. We are making their world. That's my latest thought. They are depending on us. And this me me me isn't going to help them at all.
