Great, I screwed up with my early ballot
I voted a Yes / No to retain a judge (and as usual I retain them all because I am too lazy to look them up and it is so darn hard to find what party they belong to, cowards!)

I feel like an idiot. I had to check the Spoiled box on the back (that's how we do it in AZ) and write spoiled on the ballot.

I might have to go there in person if I do not get my replacement ballot.

Because darn it my vote will count!

1. I think you're missing a phrase?
What did you do wrong?

2. I selected both Yes and No to a question
To retain a judge. I feel that this would invalidate the ballot and therefore decided to call it spoiled.

I want to be sure my vote counts.

5. Well, besides Obama...
I picked everything Democrat, except when there was none, then I picked Libertarian, and nothing when only a Republican.

I lost the list with all the write-ins, so guess what, if I go vote on November 4th, I will have found that list.

It's fine, it's my first year as an American, I guess I was too excited to vote.

Oh and in AZ, Obama's name comes first!

8. Just my opinion...
If it's your first time voting, I'd recommend that you do it
in person on election day.

It's a really great feeling- don't cheat yourself of the experience.

Just my 2 cents.

9. I think I will do that.
I am an early riser, so I will hit the polling station at 6am when it opens.

4. You probably voted for Barak Obama instead of "That Guy" also.

6. It's still early. You should get a replacement ballot
quickly. I'm so paranoid about filling my ballot out perfectly and quadruple-checking it.

That's the good thing about completing your ballot really early. If you make a mistake, there is time for a redo.

7. Yeah and the possibility to just show up
and wait in line, but I don't care, I could wait in line for 8 hours under cold rain just to cast my vote for Obama and although I am as white as salt, I would even sing Negro Spirituals to keep it up.

11. Just voted yesterday w/ absentee ballot
Edited on Wed Oct-08-08 10:07 AM by rniel
Me and my wife did. This was the first time I have done that and it felt wierd. I am so paranoid I didn't stick it in my mailbox I put it in the steel post office boxes that would be harder to tamper with because who knows if a crazy neighbor would go in my mailbox and steal my vote from me. I live in Idaho so it's possible. Of course who knows if these things don't just get thrown away when they receive them on the other end anyway.

But is voting on a diebold machine any better of an experience. NO!!
