CBS Headline-Todd Palin: Sarah In Dark On Troopergate
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin remained in the dark while her husband repeatedly asked top state officials to help get his former brother-in-law kicked off the state police force, Palin's husband and top aides said in affidavits provided to The Associated Press.

-----

The affidavits filed with investigators late Wednesday will probably help Palin's defense that the firing was not a tit-for-tat, but they also portray her as uninvolved while her husband met repeatedly with her aides about family affairs. That could provide fodder for her political opponents.

“Todd Palin’s statements may help provide the Governor some degree of cover in the probe,” said CBSNews.com senior political editor Vaughn Ververs, “but the level of his involvement here will probably raise even more questions and this continues to be a political distraction to the McCain campaign.”

"I have heard criticism that I am too involved in my wife's administration," Todd Palin wrote in his affidavit. "My wife and I are very close. We are each other's best friend. I have helped her in her career the best I can, and she has helped me."

Bullshit! And if Todd was running the show would he also be the shadow VP? I can't believe how the wingnuts worship at the high heels of this empty skirt including one of the wingnuts who is my coworker and said today he wished she was at the top of the ticket!

12. This is very bad for McCain / Palin
Either Caribou Barbie was out of touch and let her husband play Governor or
she knew about illegal activities and let them happen. In 2005 a judge ordered
the Palin family to lay off the ex-brother in law but it now looks like they did not.

They are trying to take the fall for that witch... but she is up to her ass in scandal on this. There is no fucking way that she was "in the dark" The McCain lawyers, who are running the show, are trying to pull a BUSH on us. Oh.. Bush was "in the dark" about cooked intelligence, etc.

21. BINGO

Either scenario will hurt her though. If they succeed with the lie, then the Todd Palin vetting begins.

14. So she's not unethical, just grossly incompetent, is that it?
The governor is so out of touch with what's going on in her administration that she didn't know her husband was wrongfully attempting to use her authority in state matters? Well, I guess you have to fall back on that if it's down to that or being found guilty.

For people on the fance about her. Don't worry, she won't *actually* be VP. The first dude will really be running the show!
