she just implied to Andrea that her question about Obama-Ayers is "ridiculous". Also said that McCain supporter Mrs. Annenberg sat in the same board with Ayers and it would be ridiculous to say that McCain is supported by someone who funds terrorists!!

Stephanie Cutter also blasted Cindy McCain saying that Cindy should go home and ask McCain why he voted against the troops. She is calling the McCains and Mitchell "ridiculous" for wasting time while people are losing their homes. Good job Stephanie!

Since it was set up by the Annenbergs, I suspect there are other "conservatives" who may have been on that board. In addition, I'm fairly certain that if an investigative reporter spent some time, he or she could come up with lots of "associations" that are just as "scandalous" as Obama's ties with William Ayers. It is beyond ridiculous that we need to spend any time on this: William Ayers, despite what he did or did not do in the 60s, is now a respected faculty member; Ayers has never been tied to Obama in any significant way, whether as mentor, advisor, colleague, neighbor, or friend; and the notion that you have to do due diligence on every person who sits on a charity board and resign from the board if one or more of the members has engaged in some offensive conduct in the past is just plain stupid. It's such a bad case of guilt by association (a bad one at that) that I suspect McCain will ultimately pay for this choice.
