4. This is a very generalize reply to Utah
but almost all of the Mormons (I know a lot) don't drink coffee. They have a thing about it but I get different reasons why. That might possibly be the Utah reason?

8. It's the caffeine that's the issue
Mormon's don't drink caffeinated beverages. Former NH congressman Dick Swett and his wife are Mormons, and they only have decaf at their cookouts and Christmas party. Even Katrina's incredible coffee ice cream drink is made with decaf.

12. Okay
that explains Utah. But what about Kansas? Texas? Not fussing with anyone here, I'm just wondering why Sev's cups aren't going red in the red states.

22. Shared a dorm room with my mormon friend
It drove her nuts. I get varied answered about it though, from the caffeine to the tannic acid which I used to hear a lot until I asked them why they could eat onions? Anyway I am really not surprised by the cup thing in Utah because a lot of tea is forbidden.

23. Tea
LDS only drink 100% herbal tea - meaning it contains no tea leaves. :)

I checked at the 7-11 here and they only had real Tea no herbal teas... but it may be different there (I went to school there and cant remember LOL).

7. Not a lot of 7-11 franchises
They have competition from Cumberland Farms and Irving, so they aren't as ubiqitous as they are in the rest of the country.

16. Obama went up a point in Texas
Considering that Texas is the original home of the Southland Corporation/7-11, well, it's a good sign that Obama's got 60% in Texas.

27. I love this. LOL
I had no idea that they even did this in previous elections. I don't usually buy coffee from convenience stores, but I might have to make a stop by there before the election and weigh in. LOL
