We are DOOMED, DOOMED, DOOMED - Time poll
WTF is wrong with some of the people crying Kerry is doomed?

This is just one fucking poll. An outlier.

There have been several polls the last days and none of them shows bush with more than a 4 point lead. In fact the only poll with a 4 point Bush lead is the Rasmussen tracking poll which I trust little.

Most of the polls in this period show very close race with either Keryr or Bush leading by a point or two.

Yes, Kerry was hit by the SBVT lies and his numbers drop a little but the race is a dead heat dammit.

Bush bounce should be expected and I said last week my expectations are for a 48B to 44K a week after Labor day.

There are still 60 days till election day.

1. Zogby shows 2 points
Rasmussen shows 4.

SHEESH! Chicken littles!

Get a fucking grip, folks. Time is an outlier!

7. I prefer "Out-Liar"
I do find it unfair editorializing that Time refers to this as a "double digit" lead. Technically true, but misleading.

2. They used "likely voters" without explaining how they determined
who a likely voter is.

5. They also seemed to have dropped their RV results
Last time RVs from a Time poll were listed in Polling Report summaries was August 5.

Even if true, it's only a five point bounce from the last Time poll--which is listed (without leaners--a previous poll includes leaners so I don't know how that skews things or makes it so that you're comparing apples with oranges).

Very confusing.

11. They also used "random"...
And "Likely" were self-identified...

This poll is a joke.

6. Of course, CNN is going to SCREAM it over the airwaves
especially since it's their sister company.

Just that could win the election for Bush.

8. We are Doomed!

Isn't the Time poll the first one taken after Bush's speech?

14. Wait for the rest of the polls
which will be coming in during the next few days. Then any RNC bounce can be measured.

15. What, again?
Sh*t, now I'll have to get all that black crepe out again, and I JUST got it packed away, what with all the talk of Kerry winning in a cake-walk.

This convinces me: The Democratic party is bi-polar. The good news is, they can treat that now. ;-) The cold hard fact is that this election isn't going to be either a cake walk or a rout for either side. It's going to be a long hard slog every inch of the way. Stock up on the lithium, people.

16. Let me throw this out there - polls like this will make Anyone But Bush
people even more determined to vote to get his butt out of office. People who would normally "not take the time" will make it a point to vote.

Try this poll - number of protesters at Dem convention vs. number of protesters at Re pub conventions.

Our guys are too busy fighting the fight than to answer the phone during dinner to answer a poll.
