3. Isn't she running for Senate this year
Edited on Thu Oct-09-08 06:27 PM by brandnewlaptop
or am I think of someone else?

And didn't she use her position to clear her husband of some wrongdoing and of course the MSM will not report on it, too busy looking at who Obama was associating with when he was 8 years old.

5. She lost her seat when she tried to run for the Senate and lost in that primary.
Come Nov. 5, no more Heather Wilson in the House! LOVE IT!

22. Pearce gave up his House seat to run for Senate and his numbers are tanking
against Udall

Wilson gone, Pearce gone from Congress and highly unlikely to win the Senate

8. That's some of the best news I've heard tonight...
and I'm not even from NM. She's such a shill for these right-wing scumbags. Every time someone is on television on behalf of the McCain ticket, I can't stop myself from thinking, "How do they live with themselves?" Perhaps eventually I'll get it through my head that they have no shame...really, they have no soul. They're all pathetic excuses for human beings.

7. This will be her last term.
Rather than run for reelection, she tried for the Republican Senate nomination this year. She lost, so she's done :)

25. Martin Heinrich(D) vs. Darren White(R)
Heinrich is a former ABQ city councilor; White is a county sheriff and formerly was Dep't of Public Safety head under Republican Gov. Gary Johnson. White resigned from Johnson's admin when Johnson publicly stated that he favored the decriminilization of marijuana. I haven't seen any poll #s for their race.

26. Darren White used to be on TV too....a "reporter" for channel 13 in ABQ
It doesn't surprise me in the least that he has higher aspirations.

You mean Larry Ahrens isn't running for anything this time around?

9. What a pathetic show of sheer desperation and projection.
OBAMA wants to 'put people on the streets while he bails out HIS WALL STREET FRIENDS' ??????
:wtf: :puke::wtf: :puke::wtf: :puke::wtf: :puke::wtf: :puke:

She OBVIOUSLY has Obama confused with McAnus.

10. During my college graduation she was our guest speaker
Our graduating classes booed her once she came to the podium. Then from the crowd we heard "Fuck You". The crowd roared!!!
Later after her pretentious speech she split, she had a "commitment" but really I think she knew she was unwelcome. I found out afterward that my dad was the one who yelled from the crowd and couldn't have been more proud!:)

12. Get out the marmalade, she's already toast.
Heather "Skanky Cow" Wilson had to give up her House seat to run for the Senate seat being vacated by Pete Domenici. Domenici anointed her his chosen successor and she thought she had it in the bag.

Then lo and behold, out of the far southlands of our fair state, what should emerge but A Raving Nutbag to challenge her! And Steve "Raving Nutbag" Pearce had to give up HIS House seat to do it.

So the Skanky Cow and the Raving Nutbag duked it out and the Raving Nutbag now has the privilege of being run over by the Tom Udall steamroller. Couldn't happen to a more worthy blob of excrement.

Given that the far southlands of our fair state tend to pretty reliably return folks like the Raving Nutbag to high national office, the few, the strong, the determined Democrats in that district gallantly and oh-so-reluctantly gave up their hopes of getting a real progressive on the ticket and settled for a representative of the "awl bidness" who could be kindly called a "centrist" Dem. But at least Harry Teague has plenty of cash to finance his own campaign.

The Skanky Cow's old district is more problematic. Although it's essentially Albuquerque, it includes the South Valley which is hard core woolhat territory, a huge contingent of single-issue anti-choice voters, and the Kirtland AFB crowd. Bernalillo County sheriff Darren White has a solid GOPpie base and is well-favored among Independents. City Councilor Martin Heinrich has made a few campaign boo-boos, including being seen to rely on "outsiders" too much for funding and endorsements. And there are a lot of people (including not a few Democrats) still annoyed with him over various city politics kerfuffles.

Ben Lujan can pretty much coast to victory here in the north end of the state, I think. I'm guessing Harry has a 50-50 chance of pulling it out in Las Cruces but I wouldn't put a bet on either of the other two districts.

prognosticatorially,
Bright

...and tonight, when she called Obama "desperate" - OBAMA is desperate, mind you - I fell into hysterics. How people can look into the camera and say shit like she was spewing is astounding.

But the vote-counters in 2006 didn't like Patricia Madrid.

20. After watching "Uncounted" on Showtime, I believe that NM is still vunerable to machine fraud.
And Madrid won the debate and was ahead in most polls in 2006.
