Outlier: An outlier is a data point that is located far from the rest of the data. Given a mean and standard deviation, a statistical distribution expects data points to fall within a specific range. Those that do not are called outliers and should be investigated.

For example: If 14 polls have Kerry running even with Bush and A SINGLE POLL has either candidate with a DOUBLE DIGIT LEAD, it is known as an outlier.

Get a grip already.

We have seen Time be an outlier poll many many times before.

That the poll's date range is right during the GOP love/lie fest..... Who did Time contract to create that poll btw? Was it Gallup?

ON EDIT: it was conducted by SRBI (who I've never heard of), but according to another GD4 thread, is run by a guy who is a FNC commentator.
