Bizarre kamikaze McCain Phone Calls in Minnesota or The McCain Hindenburg Campaign.

I live in Minnesota and over the course of this night, I finally decided to pick up the calls that were "unknown" and "Private Caller" per my caller ID just to find out who was calling me at 8:45PM and 9:00PM because they had called ALL DAY and ALL evening and I was sick of hearing my phone ringing.

The first "unknown caller" was this quivering voice, a wavering woman who was stammering and reading from a card about the dangers of Barack Obama and how John McCain will fix all that ails us. I actually busted out laughing during her spiel, but she ended her kamikaze card reading that this was paid for by John McCain and the Republican party and she hung up on me without addressing me at all. This call wasn't for interaction, it was a live person reading AT me I can only conclude her that her orders were to hang up after she finished reading her card, because that's what she did.

This is effective marketing? Barking/stammering out a message and hanging up on your "customer"?

*Ring* the Next call that came from 000-000-0000 at 9:05 PM was from another person who read the same script about how awful Obama is, and that John McCain will fix our woes. This caller, who invaded my space, roboticly finished reading his script about how this was paid by John McCain and the RNC and rattles off a 202 area code. I managed to mutter "you poor dear" before he hung up. These folks inundated my phone line until I finally picked up,only to have them insult me by having a *live* person call me and yet, they actually wanted nothing to do with me.

Way to go John McCain. :eyes: Everyone loves to be harassed by phone until they pick up, only to be read at by automatons, who don't address you as a human being, and then after their spiel, they hang up on you.

I swear to gawd these folks went to "how to lose a campaign" school.

which state that calls are not to be made after 9 pm. As a general rule, I never pick up a "caller unknown" or "private caller", as I know that the chances of some idiot attempting to sell me crap I don't want or need will surely be on the other end. When these calls come in, sometimes I pick up the phone and hang it on the top of the phone, just to make them pay for the call. They never stay on more than a half a minute before hanging up, but it gives me tremendous satisfaction just to screw with them.
