Florida's senior citizens are leaning toward Democrat Barack Obama in a close presidential race, according to a poll conducted for the Sun Sentinel and the Florida Times-Union.
The latest survey shows a slight swing toward the 47-year-old candidate by voters 60 and older.
Obama, long the favorite of the youngest votes, now leads 72-year-old Republican John McCain by 7 percentage points among the 60-plus age group. The oldest voters were about equally divided in last month's poll.

Among voters 60 and over:
McCain 43 percent
Obama 45 percent
Undecided 9 percent
Other 3 percent
Oct. 6-8 polling
Among voters 60 and over:
McCain 42 percent
Obama 49 percent
Undecided 6 percent
Other 3 percent
Showing Obama's strength among 60 year olds growing, beyond the margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points. In a telephone poll of 600 likely voters statewide by Research 2000.

Poll has Obama up 52-44Strategic Vision shows Sen. Barack Obama commanding a 52-44 percent lead over Sen. John McCain in Florida with 1 percent other and 3 percent undecided.
The poll was based on 1200 phone interviews and was in the field Oct. 6-8, meaning it was over the debate and also during the stock market turmoil. Margin of error is plus or minus 3 percent.
