Democrat Convention was BETTER, Had MORE ENERGY
There is no question that the crowd was far more energized in that Fleet Center, in addition to it being a better place to hold a convention.

The cheers were far louder, people were up and things were exciting.

The Shrub convention, it seemed like the first 3 days, they really struggled to get any emotion out of these people. The only time I saw any "movement" in energy was was Arnald and Shrub came out. I'll give them that, but everyone else was really really boring.

I mean, McCain, Rudy, complete SNORES. Heck even LauraShrub was more entertaining than those guys, and she gave Arnald a run for his money, and that is a shame.

I'm being honest here. At the DNC the power shooters, were Obama, Sharpton, Clark, Kucinich, and Kerry.

At the RNC it was only Arnald and Shrub. Oh and of course Zell, but that was crazy energy, not real rallying.....fuggin deranged guy.... even people at their convention was looking for someone to take this guy off the stage and get him some medication.

anyways, 5 vs 2. Seems like the DNC won. And they did.

1. not to mention more memorable lines
Edited on Fri Sep-03-04 04:18 PM by Beaverhausen
GOre - "You win some, you lose some, then there's that little known third category"

Clinton - "Strength and wisdom are not opposing values"

or something like that.

5. you got that right
that is the single most striking difference between the two conventions. I came away from the DNC with genuine hope and desire to see us come out of the darkness of the past four years.

All I got from the RNC was anger, self-absorption, poison, and a lot of "I have a plan" without any plans. In software industry, we call that vaporware.

7. In every way, the Democratic convention was the winner.
The speeches were uplifting & full of hope, which was appropriate for a convention.

However, it's time for Kerry to go full throttle against the Repugs' lies. Show us how you can fight back, John!

9. I was up during the Kerry speech, pumping my fists in the air
I was screaming, "Hell yeah!" ever few minutes. Oh, it was a powerful few nights but that Kerry speech blew me away!

The RNC looked like a funeral and then the time after the funeral when the will is read and everyone is either pissed off at granma because she cut them out or pissed at Cousin Jim because he got the boat.

The few times I could suppress the nausea long enough to watch, the delegates reminded me of audiences at wrestling matches.
