TPM:Anti-Obama Crazies Spill Into Down-Ticket Contests: "Bomb Obama"
By Greg Sargent - October 10, 2008, 12:22PM

The fury and loathing of Obama being whipped up largely by McCain-Palin-GOP rhetoric about the Illinois Senator is now spilling into down-ticket races, specifically the battle between GOP incumbent Saxby Chambliss and his Dem challenger:

Thursday's debate took place in front of a highly partisan crowd in the GOP stronghold of Middle Georgia.

Chambliss supporters waved "Saxby" signs and offered up a sustained "boos" when Martin mentioned Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

"Bomb Obama," one woman hollered.

This isn't a McCain rally, to be sure. But McCain could definitely have an impact on the overall climate if he called on the McCainiacs to calm down a notch or two and made a public gesture of some kind in order to let it be known that some behavior is simply unacceptable.

Asking the McCain campaign to stop insinuating that Obama is a terrorist is probably a bit much to expect. But as the leader of the Republican Party right now, he could let it be known that there is a line somewhere that shouldn't be crossed. Of course, that would require him to show leadership.

1. This is the lowest way to run a campaign and John McCain
approves it!

It has become difficult to hold any Republican accountable. They hate lawyers but use them to undo justice when they are criminally responsible.Nailing jello to a wall is what they are trying to do when they concoct frightful connections for Barack and use racial divisiveness openly as they did in the past to McCain himself,to degrade their opponents. By the way he is using these same lawyers and paid pundents.

When we hire a president, we are not hiring a priest or rabi to lead us in personal religious or moral decisions. Instead we need a qualified intelligent guiding hand who is liberal in their understanding of others and well versed in the values of our constitution.

I find them all in Barack Obama as well as a personal management of his own life so far, which has been devoted to those in need, and how he enjoys and respects his intimate and, like so many of us now, diverse extended family.
