9/11 - Bush's Vietnam
Repugs complain Kerry only talked about Vietnam at the DNC. Well waddya know? Bush only talked about 9/11 at the RNC! And what the hell did he do that was so remarkable anyway? Yeah, he consoled people, but that's his job! So are the Repugs saying that President Gore would've danced on the WTC site, saying, "Praise Allah!!!!!" At least Kerry did heroic things for his men in Vietnam. What did Bush do? Shake some hands? Sit silent for 7 minutes reading My Pet Goat? If the Repugs are ridiculing Kerry for basing his presidency on four months in Vietnam, Bush is basically basing his presidency on one week 3 years ago. I hate it when people praise him for "being strong" on 9/11. What else can a president do? Break down and say, "Please Mr. bin Laden, we'll do anything you want, just don't kill us!" Of course the POTUS will sound resolute and decisive. This exploitation of 9/11 is so stupid because they're lauding Bush for something that was his duty and nothing more. A man like Kerry, he went above and beyond the call of duty, but Bush, he actually dips below, like with the War on Terror taking a detour to Iraq.
