Time to ditch the same old language.
It's time to take a string of strong new bold remarks and LET THEM FLY.

Enough of regurgitating job numbers...

We need to hear a complete speech from Kerry's lips that Fries The incumbents. He needs to explore in every detail how they have royally F*cked up this Nation and the World.
Point by point, slash by slash he needs to cut them down.
And he needs to say in the process what he did to thwart them, what actions he took to ensure that we would be protected from their fascist stupidity.

1. The only way to reform the language is from the bottom up.
I post threads called MEME MEMOs. The idea is to get all of us using certain phrases that re-frame the debate. The hope is that these "memes" spread, that some of us get them into the ears of decision-makers (like Kerry and Edwards family members and the various journalists who read this site), that they become the swords we use to slay the RW dragon.

It can work. Look at "Death Tax" and "Pro Life" on the right, or "Corporate Welfare" on the left. Words are extremely powerful if used wisely. We can do it. We all just need to work together.

If you're interested in language as a political tool, read George Lakoff's books. Also instructive is What's the Matter with Kansas?, by Thomas Frank.

3. Let's do it here and now.
We're as gifted as any to build an arsenal of words right here on the DU... and we already have the connections to get them to those who can use them do we not?!

So what can be said in the face of our foes to bring this election home in a landslide???
