Can you find the TIME poll on CNN's or TIME's websites?
I've looked through the political sections of both sites, but can't find any mention of this brand new poll.

http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/

http://www.time.com/time/election2004/

All I found was this poll:

http://www.time.com/time/covers/1101040906/pollbox.html

Seems such a major poll that's being discussed on CNN t.v. would be easily identified on their websites. Unless, the results, as many have mentioned here, are in dispute.

4. Thanks. I'd need to see the internals in order to form an opinion.
I looked at the website but the internals were not there.

12. There are no methodological breakdowns. There is no graph.
I am highly suspicious.

11. Same here. Nothing there. Someone want to post the results of the poll?
The last poll I have for Time is 8/25-29, and I think it was a tie (46-46). Which is right before the RNC.

2. I just went looking too
Couldn't find it anywhere.

I wanted to varify that the 11 point result was based on a single metric.

3. It's hidden in something called TIME's online edition! See post #1.
Why hide it?

8. This is a poll of 1,316 allegedly random people - pretty small sample
Methodology: The TIME Poll was conducted August 31 – September 2 by telephone among a random sample of 1,316 adults, including 1,128 reported registered voters and 926 likely voters. The margin of error for registered voters is +/- 3% points, and +/- 4% points for likely voters. Schulman, Ronca, & Bucuvalas (SRBI) Public Affairs conducted the poll, and more complete results are attached.

9. The
really disturbing part is that this is before the possible convention bounce would show up. We could be facing as much as a 15-17 point deficit.

13. most of the poll
was conducted during the convention. This is a definite outlier poll. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

14. CNN poll is usually skewed 3 to 4 points pro Bush.
This suggests the rest of the polls will come in around 48% Bush 45% Kerry. We can live with that for now. This will be a long weekend waiting for more results.
