537 democratic voter registrations.

That is my goal and inspiration for this election season. We lost by 537 vote in the disputed FL race of 2000. This year I intend to register 537 dem voters. My homage to the robbed voters of Florida.

I figure I am about 1/2 way there.

I starting hating Bush so much I was experiencing severe brain melt. So I gave money to the Kerry campaign and that helped for a while. Then I did little online activist stuff and that helped for a while. But now this voter registration project has become really important to keeping my sanity intact.

I've got my best friend and my brother voting for Kerry after having not voted last year. That's two! :)

I've got another friend whose 'undecided' that I'm working on as well.

If everyone of us tried to get at least a couple new voters to the polls that would make a big difference.

Getting hundreds of people single-handedly is quite impressive though. :thumbsup:
