Just one line in bushes speech could defeat him
He mentioned removing power from activist judges. Ok Mr Bush, remove a judges power and put it where? In the hands of activist politicians who cater to lobbyists? Unless the bush/Halliburtin name appears on the Constitution I don't see how thats possible, there is a little thing called seperation of powers. Thats the reason we have the judicial process and the appeal process in case you didn't know that. Well unless your plan is to turn America into Nazi Germany, in that case by all means fire all the judges.

1. You would think so.
I wonder how many will think it through that far and get beyond their knee jerk reaction to the thought of activist (liberal) judges?

4. they interpret the law
and the appeals process is the solution to bad interpretations. Well in W's America politicians will do all that, kinda like Nazi Germany. yhe phrase, "Activist polititions and their lobbyists" should be used against bush at every chance, show his uncaring for the American family and his ties to corporate America.

2. The Bush family totally discounts the courts
Read more about the court case in Florida concerning the woman in a vegetative state. Just went before the Florida Supreme Court. It tells you all you need to know about how the Bush family views courts.

3. Ok, Mr. B*sh...
why don't you start with removing power from those 5 "activist" judges on the Supreme Court that handed you your job on a silver platter in December 2000?

8. seriously
this is the platform to defeat bush. The Judicial system has its flaws but we have a seperation of powers that his administration is trying to dismantal. Americans don't like the constitution tampered with, especially by activist polititions. Maybe God told him too but remember, God told that lady in Texas to also stone her kids to death. we have to walk softly around the God told me too line, it tends to bring out the wacko's.

11. Repukes HATE the separation of powers doctrine
Because they can't control it. Unfortunately, that issue will not play well with most people because it's too complex for them to understand. They just sing their song about liberal activist judges and the sheeple eat it up.

I agree about the privatization of Social Security. Especially with the recent poor performance of the market. I'm surprised they're still pushing for it.
