The McCain camp is truly tone deaf.

1. Huh? Hockey's pretty damn white. I don't blame them for thinking that'd be safe.

6. Didn't she just recently smear "East Coast liberals" in one of her speeches?
Among other reasons...

12. (shrug) I doubt if Joe Hockey cares much for the "Woody Allen types" either....
Obviously it didn't work out for Palin, but it just doesn't seem like all that stupid to think that it *would* work out.

20. Not as a general rule, but it becomes much closer to true when you limit it to...
hockey fans.

But there's really nothing for us to discuss, if you're going to pretend to not understand the relevance of race in the first place.

16. She's hanging out in Philly because Snider is one
of the most major, right wing, donor maxed out, tools there is. I'm sure he's busy snuffling out money for McPalin. Too bad for him most of the true Flyers fans are blue collar.

24. I'm Curious? Is Phily tradtionally Republican or Demo?
Edited on Sat Oct-11-08 07:16 PM by lib2DaBone
Palin went there for a reason. She wouldn't go anywhere where the odds were equal. I'm thinking that Philly is a right-wing town, and that is why she went there to milk the base. I could be wrong? Just asking...

30. Overall Democratic, with Repub voters in white ethnic neighborhoods.
Milk the base may make sense, to try to make the Philly margin smaller for Democrats.

11. Wrong...
... they are in tune up with their base - racist Americans. They know what they are doing, its just that racism is all they got.

It pleases me to no end to know that racism in America is going to go down hard in this election. A major hurdle to progress in the US is gonna be overcome. And in just a few weeks and we will have become a better country for that.

14. They probably thought they would be welcomed, they are that blind. And they brought insurance
Their insurance was the fact that she brought the kids. She's used them as human shields and props all during the campaign.

Bravo, Philly. Life is hard and sometimes kids get brought into the fray by idiotic parents. Hopefully the kids learn from this and perhaps learn that what their mom stands for isn't good for the people in this country.

15. It was the McCainiac Comcast Chairman's idea (they own the Flyers)
And the McCain campaign obviously wanted to step on Obama's big day of campaigning P.R. in the city.

29. They are sending the Pill Popper to Charlotte for the race
I'm not sure how the Botoxed Pill Popper qualifies as a key demographic of NASCAR, but they are sending her to that one. Where I'm sure she'll get a rousing round of applause. Mainly because they think she pisses their beer.
