Pics from Newark, OH rally 9/3/04.
Edited on Fri Sep-03-04 08:40 PM by dralston
U.S. Senate candiate and Ohio Senator Eric Fingerhut fires up the crowd. He was well received.

I just caught the tail end of a salute! It was great!

Sen. John and Annie Glenn on stage with Sen. Kerry.

Sen. Glenn and Sen. Kerry together.

Some cute "Kids for Kerry"

The crowd.

The crowd again.

Now the freeps!

This heiress is worried about her tax burden. She looks like she probably makes more than $200,000 a year. Greedy, I guess.

For reasons that remain unexplained, the pugs think that empty store fronts are great places to put their signs. As though they're saying "This business failure brought to you by Bush/Cheney". There had to be at least a dozen of these empty shops.

Four more Wars for this young, draft age fellow.

Go with God! Bush or Burn, America! Bush or Burn!

3. Thanks.
That's sweet, but the camera did most of the work. LOL! ;)

I was just lucky enough to be there.

4. he will be up in Akron tomorrow
I can't make it. I am in Cleveland. I saw Clinton when he first ran, I wish I had a camera back then. At least I got to shake his hand. I still have the Clinton/Gore Lake Erie Tour button.

5. I think the crowd was really good sized.
especially considering it is a heavily Republican county on a work day. Many are suffering under heavy job losses, though.

The crowd was GREAT! They seem really committed to the cause.

8. So, if your county is suffering heavy job losses,
why in the world is it "heavily Republican?"

Don't they get it?

Oh, and, thanks for the great pix!!

10. There's the problem.
It's a nearby county for me, but your point is still the same.

Licking County (I know...It's hilarious!) went with Bush 60 - 37 in 2000.

I'm glad Kerry isn't taking it for granted that they'll go Bush again. Maybe they'll wise up. I think almost every Democrat in Ohio is trying to help Republicans wise up this time.

The city of Newark has a Democratic mayor, so it isn't an impossible thought.

Thanks

11. Thanks
I like your Springfield pics! They convey the excitement of the event. You got incredibly close!

If you're interested (or anyone else), we've chartered a bus to the Steubenville event and we have plenty of RED tickets for everyone.

RED tickets people!

We leave HQ in Cambridge at 3:00 PM. Cost for the bus is $5.00 round trip (of course!).

A lot of people are doing Labor Day weekend stuff and can't make it, so spread the word if you can!

Thanks.

12. Thanks for the great pictures!
Shows once again that anyone can attend a Kerry rally, but only Chimpy supporters can attend his.

Also interesting to note Kerry had a rally in what you say is a Republican district.

I take that as a positive sign. :)

13. Damn - I Have to work
RED TICKETS?

My employee is off camping - I already made him come in today and open the store and work a couple of hours on his day off so that I could get enough sleep after the Springfield rally.

I am starting to feel like a groupie. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Y'all enjoy! And shake Kerry's hand for me if you get a chance.

Gotta go home now so I can do it all over again tomorrow.

15. From a Dean supporter...
I think Kerry is a good man. I believe he will represent us fairly and well. I think Kerry is accessible.

Thank you very much for sharing your photos. They are good images that show me that we are backing the right person for the job.

Peace,
AL
