Here's My Idea For a 15-second TV Ad: Thelma & Louise

The ad features two actors that look strikingly similar to bush & cheney. They're driving through the desert in a red convertible. Various angle shots and close-ups. The dialog is a back-and-forth of smugly delivered empty platitudes:

We're turning the corner.

We're moving forward.

We're staying the course.

Deficits don't matter.

We're winning the war in Iraq.

They greeted us with flowers.

Sure and steady leadership.

We're on a roll, steady as we go etc.

You get the idea.

And then...they drive full speed over the cliff together, still shouting meaningless platitudes.

Final shot: the pursuing cops show up in a cloud of dust. An officer gets out of his cruiser and says, "Man. All we wanted to ask them was what they planned to do differently the next four years."

5. It's great, but the Pukes will "miss" the metaphor

and claim the Dems ran a commercial that depicts the president and VP getting killed.

of the rubble and dusting themselves off, with cheney saying, "Wanna go again?," and bush replying, "Ye-haw!"
