1. Red carpet treatment? That's a little overblown.
Davis was on the phone as usual. He spouted his talking points as usual.

Gibbs also had his moment on the phone to get his points across.

This is the norm for Morning Joe. No red carpet treatment at all.

Lewis is attacking them. Obama needs to apologize. We've done nothing wrong.

4. I really wish the Obama campaign hadn't backed away from
Lewis' statement. I see absolutely nothing wrong or inaccurate about it. Certainly no "apology" needed. The apologies should come from the "other side."

5. No one backed away or apologized.
Obamas campaign simply said they don't agree with the direct comparison to Wallace but agree that McCains campaign is allowing hateful rhetoric to be spouted.
