<1> Pubes can't be credibly blamed for the storms.
<2> The Shrub and little Shrub get to be high profile "heroes" flooding the media for HOURS at no cost. Kerry and Edward's visits there will be cast as political whereas the presence of the Prez & Guv is expected.
<3> The US treasury via FEMA will dump BILLIONS on Florida of our tax money and Flubya will take the credit.
<4> The poor will be dislocated or struggling just to survive and will not be thinking about hanging chads...

So what's out Storm-Strategy to prevent the second stealing of Fla's electoral votes?

How about we make sure our folks highlight any and every failure of FEMA as a case of Bush doesn't Care and Bush is Incompetent to handle homeland disasters.

2. How about ordering a mandatory evacuation for the East coast but not...

opening up the southbound lanes for the northbound evacuation? Seems like this could backlash BIG TIME on JEB et al.

3. Watching Florida TV...There Were A Lot Of MoveOn Ads

ABC World News Now ran non-stop coverage of Channel 10 in Miami...everything, including the local commercials. At least once an hour there was a MoveOn spot...featuring Repugnicans who can't vote for *. Great Ads and well placed.

Talking to friends in Florida, Jebbie's on the spot here...and it's not a good one. There are still a lot of folks on the West coast who are without all services from Charley and blaming Jebbie...the sending of money, resources and National Guard to Orlando and Repugnican areas and so on. Lots of unhappy people still in the Ft. Meyers area.

If anything, the storms have encouraged people I know who were thinking about voting absentee there to do it. Who knows what could happen...more storms are on the way...and the messes that these storms have created won't be totally cleared away by election day.

4. Here ins SC our Nat'l Guard is depleted... in Iraq

We would be in a world of hurt if we took a direct hit. Surely Fla. must be feeling pain from that same thing. Hit 'em on that issue.

5. As I recall, republicans have been praying to their republican god for a

devastating and destructive hurricane to hit Florida and destroy that nasty Disney World. Praying to a hateful and vengeful god to destroy their "enemies" (anyone who disagrees with them) is very republican.
