Two things the Kerry campaign can do to get total media attention....
However, once they get their attention, they have to let it all loose. They need a scathing attack on Bush and Cheney - not just talk about the worst economy in 75 years - people simply will not accept that with a 5.4% unemployment rate.

Number one, they can say they are shaking up the campaign leadership. They don't have to fire anyone! They cna bring in one or two more people - perhaps Begala and Carville. But the purpose of the announcement is to capture the attention of all the press so that they can have the opportunity to slap the hell out of Bush and Cheney. That's the way the media is worked. They love being manipulated and abused.

Number two, they can call a conference to announce that Bill Clinton is not going to be able to help in the manner that he had planned and that the Kerry campaign has requested that President Al Gore step in and be the surrogate for Bill Clinton. Because we knwo Al Gore will not hesitate to tell it like it is.

Those are two ways for the campaign to regain the initiative by using the press to get out the message that needs to be gotten out.

2. I do! Send your idea to the Kerry campaign or something
We should send all our ideas to them or to Media Matters or MoveOn.org or anyone trustworthy.

Now that the Big Dawg will be out of commission for a while, we'll all have to FIGHT EVEN HARDER!

That's the point.
