New Idear: "Iraq war veterans for truth"?
What about getting together soldiers who served in Iraq ~ and having them tell the truth about Bush and Iraq?

A group already exists: Why can't we and others support them with $$ and have some of them make an ad about the war? Especially now that Kerry is strengthening his position against it?

Why not form a coalition/527 with them and start making our own ads?

Ideas, thoughts?

7. One of the main guys that did the site was on Randi's show yesterday
They aren't all anti-war, they aren't all gung-ho for war, they're just trying to tell their story.

Overall, they're pretty unbiased and impartial, with the exception of a few moronic posts on their blogs and stuff.

2. That sounds like a great idea
Imagine Earl Morris creating a powerful ad with comments from anti-war veterans of the Iraq war. That would get a lot of attention, or at least force the media to stop talking about the Swift Boat Liars.

3. I wonder who could be contacted with this?
I may try the campaign, though they have probably blocked my calls now LOL.

5. Randi Rhodes had some ideas yesterday
Paul Rieckhoff from Operation Truth was on the air with Randi Rhodes yesterday, and they talked about soldiers experiences in Iraq. Rieckhoff said that Operation Truth would like to educate young people about the war, possible draft etc. The group does not have much resources, so they need help (money, people with organizing skills) to get their message out.

Operation Truth is not a partisan group so they are not going to be campaigning for Kerry, but the facts on the ground in Iraq are not very favorable to Bush campaign.

6. I already made this exact suggestion to the campaign
after yesterday's Randi Rhodes thread about the Iraq vet telling what's REALLY going on over there, proving that great minds think alike. ;)

By all means, nudge them again with the idea and maybe we can light a fire under their butts!

9. Already done!
I gave them the DU link that included a running commentary of the soldier's accusations and a link to his web site.

It would be AWESOME if they ran with this idea and quashed the fantasy about how much Bush* supports the troops.
