What has Bush done to protect America?

Bush is getting all this credit for protecting America from terrorism because we haven't been attacked since 9-11. Does anyone know if he really deserves any credit for this?

He initiated the attack in Afganistan but did he really capture anyone of interest or did they all pay of our allies and leave. Where is Osama and anyone else of importance?

Has security for anything besides air traffic been significantly enhanced. What has he done to protect our ports, nuclear and electric power plants, chemical plants and storage facilities?

Has he rallied and maintained international support for preventing terrorism? The world is rallying to Russia's side after the terrible attack on their school. Has Bush so eroded international support that our participation in a productive international war on terrorism is not trusted or desired.

He initially opposed the creation of the department of homeland security and a commission to investigate how we allowed 9-11 to occur and he refused to be questioned by the commission in the absence of Cheney.

He cut taxes to the upper 2% of americans in a time of war when that money was needed to enhance security. Bush praises American's for rising to the occassion, but soldiers and their loved ones are the only ones called to make sacrifices. Meanwhile Bush/Cheney connections make millions by noncompetitive bids to rebuild Iraq.

What in the hell has Bush done to keep us safe and how can he base an election on this. However, its true we haven't been attacked since 9-11 on American soil. Did he make a secret aggreement with Osama that we don't know about?

nothing. everything he has done has done exactly the opposite he has and is claiming.

bombing Afghanistan and Iraq made it more dangerous for Americans, at home and abroad. yet he claims "America is a safer place. The world is a safer place." then it might be too dangerous to vote-we're on 'high alert' and 'orange alert' we never had to worry about this before. so which is it? are we safer? or are we in danger?

The deficit has not been this high in over a decade. The numbers of people not working (not just the official insurance collectors, but those who have run out of benefits, and are no longer counted) continues to rise, the numbers of people falling into poverty is on the rise, yet cheneybushco claims "we're better off" Apparently, they are speaking of the upper 1-5%, the bracket to which they belong.

so i will iterate, just on these to points, he has done nothing, in fact it might be more accurate to say, he has fucked us up bad.
