They're suggesting Bush is GAY - How low have we sunk?
This needs to be discussed on Nightline - IN DEPTH.

I fear for the American people.

3. I've got no problem with busholini being gay, he's at least bi.
I have a problem with him being closeted and using bigotry against gay people to fuel his campaign momentum.

Google victor ashe and see what you come up with.

7. Right, those rumors have been around the southwest
for as long as I've lived out here, that he liked boys when he was in his hard drinking days. Got no problem with that.

I do have a problem with the way he's whipping up hate against anyone outside the suburban mainstream and calling it morality.

8. Conclusive Proof that he is at least a Girly Man
http://www.bettybowers.com/isbushgay.html

"Karyn is with us. A West Texas girl, just like me"
-- President Bush, May 27, 2004

January 2004. Mr. Bush wandered over during Mr. Reid's chat with the Prime Minister. Mr. Reid introduced himself and shook hands with Mr. Bush.

The President chuckled. "Well, you got a pretty face," he told the surprised Mr. Reid. He wasn't done. "You got a pretty face," he said again. "You're a good-looking guy. Better looking than my Scott anyway."

-- President Bush in a coquettish bout of eye-batting homosexual diplomatic flirting January 16, 2004 The Globe and Mail

18. I have never been really sure
about everyone's take on "girly man".

My first thought when I heard it was not that it was about homophobia, but that it was about misogyny. He was, to me, slamming the intelligence of women, who, everyone knows, certainly can't be bright enough to understand something as complicated as ECONOMICS!!!

I mean, to me, it all goes along with male sports coaches and male army sergeants calling the boys/men "girls" or "ladies" as an insult.

Why does everyone have a different response to this? What am I missing?

23. "girly man". (effeminate)
effeminate

1 : having feminine qualities untypical of a man : not manly in appearance or manner
2 : marked by an unbecoming delicacy or overrefinement

Number 2 is bush* He is delicate imo

32. That's my take as well... it is a slam on women more than on gays
Since it is FIRST a slam on women insinuating that such-and-such man or group of men is like a woman (as if that's an insult). The gay angle is because this anti-female slur has been used to describe gay men specifically. Wonderful hate phrase, ain't it?

20. Well of course it should -
if we used the other sides criteria - gayness can be used as a blackmail tool by anyone wanting an in to our government. Thats was the homophobic say on the right, thats what the hate spewers say on the radio, so by their own definition of the parameters, the discussion should take place.

28. Look. There's nothing wrong with him being gay.
But, if he cheated on his wife, that would be important. And if his gayness means that the U.S. government could be blackmailed to conceal it (like by the Israelis or someone, maybe China) that would be important for our national security, I think. And I think it would be a very important for our discussion of the gay marriage amendment also. Also, if he has lied to his Christian fans and he is actually gay, I think that's important too. I think he's going to need to address these charges. Where there's smoke there's fire. I just don't think all of these people saying these things could all be lying. Let's hear their side of the story and then let's get *'s answer. I think that would be fair.
