Polls from 2000 election--pretty wild lead changes
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 03:01 PM by DemMother
Starting with 2-17 point Bush lead in August going all the way to polls just before election. Interesting to see the wide differences between the polls--and to see how many, many polls there were (and will be) between now and November.

2. We lost, Bush got less votes
Whoever ends up in the White House wins. It's that simple.

4. Exactly! Cannot be repeated enough!
People forget how "off" all the so called polls were in 2000. Turnout, Turnout, Turnout is the only "poll" that matters. I cannot believe how some folks are letting this turn in to a "sky is falling" attitude. I thought I signed up at a fighting democratic site. You can damn well bet that those freaks over at Freak Republic have not let one or two polls showing their idiot boy down by whatever before the conventions had that effect on them. The sky is falling attitude here by some is just what they want to see.
