Ben Barnes, who got Bush his cut-in-line light duty assignment in the Texas Air National Guard, apologizing to the Texas voters for giving Bush preferential treatment based on his family connections. Barnes also has a few things to say about weighing Bush’s national service against Kerry’s.

In the second, Bush says that he cannot win the “war on terror” – which is a statement he promptly flip-flopped as soon as Karl Rove took him back to the woodshed. because it's just a spooky conspiracy theory, but it does make the point that when you run the most secretive, least open government in modern American history, you create an atmosphere ripe for distrust of the government and speculation. I have to admit, I certainly have no answers for the type of questions raised in this clip, and an open government would surely not promote an environment where such questions remain unanswered.
