There are a few promises in Bush's convention speak that he will keep.

1. Tax reform: He will fight for the upper 2% of americans to protect them from taxes. This will shift the tax burden even more strongly on the middle class. Bush will protect his base.

2. Tort reform: He will fight to protect large corporations from average Americans. For all practical purposes he will eliminate the only recourse Americans have to address injustices.

3. He will encourage private ownership for social security. Bush is doing everything he can, including huge deficits, to eliminate government contributions to the well being of Americans.
