Trig Palin: Autism or Down's Syndrome?
Why did McCain kept saying Sarah Palin's son had autism? I thought he had Down's Syndrome. Down Syndrome can be diagnosed prenatally. Autism can't. Did anyone else notice this?

25. And you know that how?
I can't fault anyone who spends valuable and limited airtime with millions of viewers promoting special needs awareness with a special inclusion of Autism just because there is a (D) or and (R) behind their name.

If a cure for autism is found, I don't care if it is borne of the Heritage Foundation or MoveOn.org.

6. I started a thread about this earlier. I was very pissed that Obama complimented her
on her work for special needs kids. What work except for giving birth to one?

18. Count me in, too!
My son, 24, is autistic.

If he didn't know the difference, he shouldn't be discussing
SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN!

Like Maxine Waters( love her) said on Bill Maher's
last week,

" If you don't know what it means then you shouldn't be talking about it!"

You tell em, Maxine!

14. He's got Downs.
A genetic disease. Autism is something completely different, and it's not even clear what causes it.

17. Keep in mind Palin is the one who told us the diagnosis
Knowing what we know NOW about this woman..do we even trust that she told the truth about the diagnosis??

I'm still in the "it's really Bristol's fetal alcohol syndrome baby" column.

16. Sarah might be confused about that child she carries around in bright lights...she might think
he has autism..instead of Downs Syndrome...or she figured McCain wouldn't know difference, or her Repug handlers told Mz Moosehunter that "Autism" plays better than "Downs" because there are so many more kids with Autism in America..

Whichever it was dreadful that McGrump kept repeating "Autism."

19. McCain has no idea what he is talking about.
Autism, Down's, it is all the same to him, the kid just aint right. :sarcasm:

This just goes to show how little he knows about his running mate. Out of touch as usual..

McStupid should be a special needs diagnosis.
