Have you seen so many weird facial expressions in a debate?
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 12:45 AM by Drunken Irishman
I haven't.

I mean, I'm talking primaries, local campaigns and past elections.

This was nuts. Like he was having mini-strokes throughout the debate.

Sad, really. :(

1. My favorite part of the debate was Obama's expression
when McCain said ACORN was "tearing apart the very fabric of American democracy".

If you get a chance to watch that part of the debate again, focus in on Obama's expression. His guard is completely down and he's cracking up at that statement. I thought it was Obama unfiltered, having a great time.

7. I saw that, too. McCain really out-drama-queened himself with that remark.
Obama actually had to suppress a giggle at how over-the-top and absurd McCain was being.

14. He laughed out loud!
I think it was the first time in any of the debates that he actually laughed out loud. I noticed a few times earlier in the debate that he was holding back a smile or laugh. He is amazingly poised.

GoBama!!! :toast: :bounce: :kick: :headbang: :woohoo: :applause: :patriot:

4. The corporatemediawhore$ excoriated
Gore for it in 2000. The rolling of the eyes and the heavy sighing..was mccain doing some of that?

10. That and more!
McCain was rolling his eyes, breathing loudly and weirdly (comparable to the Gore 'sigh'), and even shaking his head in bewilderment.

There was one really tense point where you could see McCain's anger building up like a volcano and he was on the verge of blowing up. Sadly, it didn't happen. It would have finished him off right there.

13. I just remembered this morning that Gore
had said he had a couple of diet cokes before his debate and mccain has been reported to drink redbull and always has a Starbucks in his hands.

Go figure.

I couldn't believe that graphic was real but I guess I'll have to.

15. Biting back anger
I think he was working overtime to control his anger and to not let us see what a REAL asshole he can be. I was actually hoping he'd lose it, so I guess I have to give him credit for not flipping out.
