Everyone is now discussing Joe the Plumber's press conference, where he has said some interesting things, like wanting to abolish social security. Well, the fact of the matter is he is one step ahead of John McCain's own running mate. This is an excellent contrast of how absurd Sarah Palin is for a running mate. If she can't do what instant 15 minute famous Joe the Plumber can do, then she has no business being on a presidential ticket.

Still no press conference for Palin whose levels of reality-denial keep going up. Even her Doctor Frankenstein, Bill Kristol, favors her actually, you know, engaging the press in a free country. But no medical records, not even a one-on-one at NBC, just phone calls to Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham and insane pronouncements of unvarnished untruth. It's worth pointing out that this has never happened before. Every vice-presidential candidate in modern times has given at least one press conference between being picked and the election.

Look, I do not agree with the views of Joe the Plumber. But he has more guts than the McCain campaign, who refuses to let their VP candidate face the press and follow up questions. THIS should be the story of Joe the Plumber, who is most certainly a Republican and McCain voter. He faced the press! Why can't she?
