Watching this dinner is a little depressing
A hardcore partisan like me is a little annoyed at watching Obama have to yuk it up with this old POS. I know its tradition and this is how its done but it still annoys me. In my opinion McCain should be ostracized from polite society, seeing him speak at a dinner pisses me off. This is a man that is playing the most vicious race games and worse in order to win a campaign.

1. Obama doesn't look bothered.
He doesn't seem to have the huge ego it takes to take this stuff personally. Good for him!

15. "Roasts" are by their nature...

....off-the-wall, a little shocking, and self-parody. Maybe that's what seems off to you.

12. At the end of the day it was fun
Barack rocked, and sounded like he wrote his own material. McCain was the funny guy I remember from the Daily Show. But back in the real world; McCain is sending out robocalls smearing Obama as a terrorist sympathizer.

13. It was a nice 30 minute reprieve for both of them (and me)...
As you say... now back to the McCain campaign and their smear tactics...
