from today's NYT
And Senator Christopher J. Dodd, an influential Democrat from Connecticut, said his party's standard-bearer had "a very confused message in August, and the Republicans had a very clear and concise one."

2. i have a theory about the democratic "lack of support"
i think that the media really is out to screw the democrats.

i think that a democrat can sit down for a hour-long interview or speech and come out swinging hard for kerry, but the press finds the ONE thing he says that can be used or twisted to sound tepid or worse.

my guess is that if you sat dodd down and asked him for his one sound bite, this would not be it.

4. these are the same democrats who bent over and let bush have
his way with them during the last four years

Maybe they better get their message clear and united, shut the f**k up in public about how are message was confused!!!

It wasn't confused to me:

1. Bush is incompentent, and is not fit to lead
2. bush will eliminate Roe V Wade, and a woman's right to choose
3. stem cell research
4. work internationally instead of "go it alone"
5. jobs
6. social security
7. prescription drugs imported from Canada

Where in the heck has he been!!!

6. Senator Dodd spoke his mind...Democrats allow that...I agree with him
Kerry's campaign in August was truly awful. I think he turned things around Thursday night with the Ohio speech and is now ready to fight.

Anyone who thinks Kerry's campaign in August deserves praise is in a weird fantasy world. Dodd was only stating the obvious. The truth may hurt, but its a hell of a lot better than lieing to yourself and then being shocked when you lose.

8. Mr. Dodd, Can You Say "Team Player"?
I mean, honestly, why is Dodd going to the press with a comment like this? This is about the same as giving "aid and comfort to the enemy".

Even if he has differences with the campaign, he should either keep it to himself or talk to the Kerry camp privately. A comment like that just gives the repugs something to cheer about. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dodd's statement quoted in a TV ad.

What was he thinking? Whose side is he on?

Winning this campaign is gonna be a team effort. Dems need to be on the same page.
